What does vitamin D do?
Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium and supports normal bone, muscle and nerve function. It also has a role in immune function.
What do D2 and D3 mean?
These are two forms of vitamin D used in supplements. D3 is also called cholecalciferol. The ingredient name and the amount are separate pieces of information.
Make it a personal conversation
Ask a clinician whether a supplement or a blood test is appropriate for you. Age, diet, medical conditions and medicines can matter. Avoid combining several vitamin D products without checking the total amount.
